We'd like to pass on thanks to everyone who supported our 2017 Thanet Vintage Bus Road Run. The pictures are up and can be found here.

With less than a week to go until our 2017 run on Sunday 7th May, we have several lovely vehicles confirmed. RVB977S The Pride Of Thanet open top bus will be there alongside former shed mate Daimler Fleetline RFN953G. Friends Of The East Kent are hoping to send one of their buses - probably AFN780B - whilst representing Southern Counties Omnibus Collection is Paul's MLK550L. We are also hoping for no less than an ex London Transport Routemaster and an RT too. Obviously these will all be depending on weather and mechanical availability but it looks to be a great day.
It all kicks off at Royal Esplanade Ramsgate at 10am. Please visit the Thanet Road Run Page for a timetable. Our Leyland National EFN178L has left our care for pastures greener. Last week she joined the team at East Kent Nostalgic Bus & Coach Trust from Folkestone. Here she joins a huge collection of former East Kent Road Car vehicles including another Leyland National NFN84R. This is very good news as we've been unable to give her much time with the rest of our buses being so demanding. It means she stays in Kent but also stays safe in preservation. We'd like to wish Jon and the rest of the guys at EKNBC Trust all the best with 1178 and we look forward to the day she returns to the road.
