Just a quick reminder that today Southern Vectis Iveco 243 will be in service on the Isle of Wight Bus Museum Members Day. Hopefully they'll have better weather today than we had yesterday.

We had a great time at the South East Bus Festival yesterday. This saw the launch of Peter's Q255GRW and Nick's M916MKM. Q255GRW has just returned from a huge restoration and while M916MKM has attended this event before, this was her first time as a preserved bus. We also took along NPD145L and N715TPK too to complete the collection. Some pictures of Q255GRW can be found on our Flickr page.
Paul's DMS Fleetline went up for it's first mot for about 20 years earlier today. The mot was more of an inspection to highlight any major issues that would affect MLK550L's return to the road. Although she failed the test, it was with very minor issues and Paul can feel justly proud to have got her to this stage after taking her on as a derelict bus some years ago. In a few weeks time she will return to the test station and be back on the road again.
We had a great day today at west Kent HQ moving the buses around and getting ready for the South East Bus Festival on the 28th of this month at Detling near Maidstone in Kent. We took a couple out for test runs including unique to East Kent Mk 2 National Q255GRW, former 1255. This spent all of it's service life at East Kent working between Dover Priory Station and the hoverport in the Western Docks. Latterly with Crosskeys Coaches in Folkestone, she's been owned by SCOC member Peter Moore for a few years now and has just been completely restored. The new and shiny 1255 will be making her debut at South East Bus Festival. She may even do a few runs on the internal free bus service....
