A service inspection of 7041 revealed the handbrake had failed and was permanently off! This was stripped down to reveal a plastic cup inside had fractured allowing air to bypass the unit. A replacement is being sought but for now one will be removed from 7681 to get 7041 mobile and on the road.
The oil leak from the timing case has returned. This time with diesel in the oil. This was caused by a loose injector pipe which Paul swiftly fixed. However, an oil change had to be done which all took time. Paul is going to strip down the timing case again to see if he can finally resolve this issue.
A massive thanks must go out to Vehicle Owners, Drivers, Conductors and support staff for another fantastic Thanet Road Run. The weather held up brilliantly and we managed over the run to carry a total of 58 passengers. A great BIG thanks goes to Pav's Cafe at Westgate who managed to cope with the demand of all the bus people that descended on the cafe today.
We hope you can make our next Road Run and please invite your friends for an enjoyable run along the Kent Coast.
